Extended enterprise questions, answered
What is extended enterprise training?
Extended enterprise training is training for people outside your organization who affect your results: resellers, customers, contractors, suppliers, franchisees and members. An extended enterprise LMS lets you train those audiences on the same platform as your staff, with separate content and reports for each.
How is this different from customer or partner training?
Customer training and partner training are single audiences within the extended enterprise. If you only train one of them, start there. If you train several, one platform with a group per audience saves separate tools. See our page on partner and channel training.
Can partners or customers see our internal courses?
No. Each audience sits in its own group, and groups and roles decide which courses, paths and reports a learner can see. Your employees can train on the same platform without their content showing up for partners, contractors or customers.
Do outside learners count against a user limit?
Registered users are unlimited on every plan, so there are no per-seat fees for partners or customers. Plans differ by simultaneous logins: Shared Hosting allows up to 50 at once and Private Hosting up to 1,000. Enterprise plans are custom.
Can we charge customers for courses or certifications?
Yes. MyPass includes a course catalog with Stripe checkout. Payments go to your own Stripe account and MyPass takes no commission. You can offer free onboarding courses and paid advanced courses or certifications in the same catalog.
Will the portal carry our brand?
Yes. White-label branding puts your logo and colors on the learner portal and certificates. Private Hosting adds your own domain with SSL, so outside learners see your academy rather than a vendor name, and certificates they share carry your brand too.
